Ben - Designer

Hi, my name is Ben and I’m one of the most recent additions to the Frank team.

I started working for Frank in March 2021 as a Designer.

BenAs a designer, I work closely with Kris (Frank’s Design Manager),
in the preliminary stage of the website development process where we will create a design based on a brief supplied by the client. In addition to this, I will sometimes work on content population of websites that are in the build phase of development.

While Kris and I work closely together and collaborate on a lot of projects, we do both have our preferences when it comes to designing. This creates a fun dynamic where Kris and I can collaborate on a design or create different versions with different design styles which allows us to decide who does certain designs.

Since starting at Frank, the whole team have always made me feel super welcome and been really helpful with everything I need. Working closely with Kris and collaborating a lot on some projects has been a great help, as it’s allowed me to learn the fine-tuned details of how a design is put together.

Because I started at Frank while we were still only allowed to work remotely due to Covid restrictions, it meant that I hadn’t actually met any of my colleagues in person, which was strange at first but after a few virtual introductions over teams and general chit chat before or after scheduled meetings I felt like I’d gotten to know everyone. Now that we’ve moved into the new office however, I realise how important it is to be able to have a change of environment and to see people in person and be able to do team building exercises like the lovely volunteer day at Fletcher Moss Gardens that we went on helped out on, or the brilliant staff Christmas do.

Kevin - Web Developer

Kevin - Junior web developerHi, my name is Kevin and I work at Frank as a Junior Web Developer, starting at the beginning of 2021 on the 11th January.

After finishing university, I was eager to start a new journey within the Web Industry. While working as a waiter, I was looking and applying for jobs to get my foot within the door of the industry. After many rejections and countless iterations of CVs, one of my teachers posted that Frank was open for employment on LinkedIn. This was the beginning of my journey at Frank.

It was made clear to me during the onboarding process that I was the first employee to start within the company by working remotely. Despite this fact, I had lots of help adjusting to the new experiences. Every single developer I worked along with during builds and including my mentor, Michael, were supportive. They all gave great explanations for questions I had and wouldn’t take insult or get frustrated when more questions arose. They not only provided plenty of advice for how to improve my coding, but reasons as to why. Working with an array of developers within the company helped me better understand how to work within a team.

Not long after, working at Frank feels almost like home. It’s a place where I was not just working for the salary, but where I feel like there is comradery and a community built. A lot of my time working at Frank has been remote, however that hasn’t stopped my progression towards building my skills and putting myself within the team. Just shy of a year, after working on training builds and doing partner builds, I found myself working on my first solo build.

Megan - Account Manager

Megan.pngHi, my name is Megan and I am the most recent team member here at Frank. In April 2022, I took on the role of Account Manager.

After wanting a change of responsibilities working as a Trading Executive for some years, I started at Frank in a hybrid role. Working as not only an Account Manager, but a Project Manager and Marketing Support I have been able to broaden my skills across the company.

Having only a few years’ experience, the team have given me immense support showing me the processes of Frank as well as giving me opportunities to project manage my own projects straight off the bat.

Working at a company such as Frank makes me enjoy getting up for work every day. The tight knit bond of all employees shines through, especially in times of need.

Myself and all my colleagues enjoy helping Frank grow, as well as supporting our local areas through volunteering and fundraising, not to forget also going for a drink now and again!

This is only the start of my journey here at Frank, but having such lovely people around really makes me feel like I have been part of the company and close friendship for years, just like everyone else.
